KOMO 4 News reports that a 5-year-old child was killed when the child’s father was backing his vehicle out of the driveway in Newcastle.  The child apparently ran to the rear of the vehicle without the father’s knowledge. Seattle Police Trying to Reduce Car-Pedestrian Accidents l Seattle Injury Attorney

The Seattle Times has reported that the Seattle Police Department will be performing “sting” operations to catch drivers who don’t stop for pedestrians.  The SPD will be using “pedestrian decoys” who approach or use marked cross-walks and then monitor drivers’ responses.
